FAQS:
Cost:
USU Bootcamp = FREE for Mountainland Region CTE Teachers who commit to completing the endorsement
Part 107 Test = $175 with the FAA
How far would this get a teacher in the USBE endorsement process?
100% on getting their Part 107 (as long as they take and pass the test)
At least 50% on UAS Flight & Flight Logs (***up to 100%)
At least 50% on Operations, Mission Planning & Deliverables (***up to 100%)
***Those who catch on faster or work at it a bit more could get 100% of the UAS Flight & Flight Logs done, plus the 107, with just this class.
For the independent study, would there be materials provided for teachers to study or a Canvas course, etc?
Canvas, and it will also include export packages for every CE-aligned class they can have, whether they teach CE or not.
Teachers will all get a mini drone, a UAS logbook, and a study guide/textbook.
How many hours would each Saturday “Fly Day” be, and where will they be located?

I, along with Travis Cook, will be hosting an Interim Review Summit for all charter schools with approved programs undergoing an Interim review this year. You and your school counseling team are invited to attend. Please note that administrators are not required or expected to attend. This summit will cover your Interim Review requirement. You will need to bring your latest program review self-evaluation and your principal/school counselor agreement.
The meeting will take place at USBE on February 13, 2026, from 8:00 am to noon. Attendance is optional, but it can be used to fulfill your Interim Review requirement. (If you have other school counselors on your team, and they aren’t on this email, please forward this to them).
Please RSVP so that I can get a head count.
Thanks!
